Hey folks- this one is going to be a monster. Potential Cat 4 when it hits the Florida panhandle. 15-20 storm surges on eastern side of land fall. Months worth of rainfall. Flooding and tornadoes up the eastern part of the US. Low lying areas really need to evacuate to higher ground. Be safe and don't take this one lightly.

Way Way east of me for now. Not so much in a couple of months. Retiring at the end of the year and headed to North Carolina.

My daughter who lives northeast of Atlanta got seven inches of rain and some wind, but no damage, so grateful for that. She has horses, cows, chickens and dogs, all came through it fine. Forgot the bee hives, she's a busy gal.

We are in South Georgia right outside of Valdosta. This whole area looks like Baghdad in 1991. Our power has been out for 11 days now, and they are telling us it could be 1-2 more weeks. I am on a propane fired generator and have already spent over $270 on fuel.
The wind blew my camper off the blocks and moved it about 2 feet. Just got it re-leveled yesterday. Broke one stabilizer and took the roof vent cover off the bathroom.
Most of Valdosta has power, but tree clean-up and roof repairs will take months.
God bless the electric crews. Some of them are working 12 to 14 hour days to get us back up.
I hope all of you guys in Florida, Georgia, N. and S. Carolina are safe.
